During the first half of 2021, we saw an accelerating recovery of the global economy and renewed optimism for new opportunities ahead. While the operating environment remains complex, leaders and teams across the Summit Partners network have continued to focus on building durable growth businesses. Since 2007, Steffan has invested more than €415 million in eleven growth companies across Europe. His investment and board experience includes 360T Group (acquired by Deutsche Börse), Appway, Akeneo, Elatec, Market Logic Software, PatSnap, Red Points, RELEX Solutions and Signavio (acquired by SAP).
In recognition of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we welcomed Jodi Bricker, CEO of Quay Australia, to talk with the Summit Team about how she’s built her career and the advice she has for young women looking to build their own.
Summit Partners was named to GrowthCap’s 2020 Top 25 Growth Equity Firms list. Over 350 firms were considered for this year’s awards process. Winners were selected based on each firm’s approach to growth equity investing and their approach to providing support and building value for their portfolio companies.
2020 was a year like no other, defined by unprecedented challenges and uncertainty around the world. Throughout, we witnessed the astounding resilience, amazing agility and enormous creativity of leaders and teams across the Summit Partners Network and experienced first-hand the value of expecting – and planning for – the unexpected. We are proud to share this look back at 2020, to celebrate the challenge of the entrepreneurial climb and to recognize all those who continue to reach for their summit.
Antony Clavel, Johannes Grefe, Adam Hennessey, Colin Mistele, Steffan Peyer and Ross Stern have been promoted to Managing Director. In addition, Gabriel Carreiro, Paul Furer, Patrick Murphy and Sophia Popova have been promoted to Principal.
Summit Managing Directors Andrew Collins and Matthew Hamilton were named to GrowthCap’s “Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investors of 2020” list. GrowthCap evaluated breadth of experience as well as feedback from CEOs and other executives in determining the 40 individuals named to this year’s list.
Colin Mistele, a Principal in Summit's Menlo Park office, was named to Venture Capital Journal's 2021 Rising Stars list. Colin joined Summit in 2011 and has since played an active role in partnering with nearly 20 Summit portfolio companies
Ross Stern, a Principal in Summit’s Boston office, was named to Mergers & Acquisitions’ "2020 Rising Stars of Private Equity" list.
