Exceptional people are the foundation for our success – both within Summit and at the companies in which we invest. Together, we work as a team to build companies and build careers.
Growth is the focus of everything we do.
Like the entrepreneurs with whom we partner, we are constantly seeking new and creative ways to innovate and grow. Above all else, we believe in the power of the Summit Partners Network – and the integrity, teamwork, entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to service that define its members.
In joining the Summit team, I hadn’t initially appreciated that I’d also be joining a team of stellar operators across Summit’s portfolio and extended network. It’s incredibly powerful to work on a team that includes entrepreneurs who are scaling category-leading companies around the world.”
It's easy to be passionate about working at Summit. Associates have an incredible opportunity to develop a broad skillset. We take an active role in building relationships with key industry stakeholders, identifying new high-growth companies, and helping to execute high priority opportunities within our teams. And importantly, Summit leadership is committed to supporting the development of Associates' investing acumen.”
A commitment to service permeates the Summit culture – both in terms of service to our entrepreneurs and investors as well as through active involvement in the community. I’m incredibly proud of the level of participation I see across our team – from individuals mentoring at-risk high school students to the groups we have running the Boston Marathon or riding the Pan-Mass Challenge year after year."
Summit rewards creativity and critical thinking. This isn’t just a ‘number crunching’ job. As Associates, we’re always encouraged to find new, innovative and more thoughtful ways to share ideas and build relationships, both internally and with the entrepreneurs we speak with every day.”
Tenacity is what sets apart great entrepreneurs and investors. Vision and ideas can get you so far, but a tenacious spirit and execution drives results. Summit’s culture is rooted in a tenacity that fuels our approach: we work hard to identify and partner with great companies and we’re tireless in our efforts to support their growth."
Summit is very focused on data-driven decision-making and operating with an incredible level of integrity across the board. Whether we’re having discussions internally about a new investment or we’re helping a management team execute a plan, it all comes back to doing what we believe is right based on what the data is showing us."
Building lifelong connections and preparing you for incredible opportunities – within Summit and beyond
“As an Associate, you’re involved at every stage of an investment, from identifying the best businesses in a market, selling your way into an opportunity, and then helping that company succeed. Along the way, you’re not only developing finance and analytical skills, but also honing your strengths in strategy, operations, people assessment and much more. You’re truly building a skillset that can be applied anywhere.”
Andy Collins│Managing Director│Summit Partners
“Summit really taught me to use my voice. While my primary job was to reach out and build relationships with entrepreneurs and CEOs, I was always encouraged to share my ideas and opinions – to use my voice – internally as well. I quickly learned just how much change is possible by doing just that. And that’s something I’m taking with me into all of my next roles.”

“At Summit, I learned the value of adopting a proactive mindset to create your own opportunities. This outlook was essential as I shifted from investing to a career as an operator. In evaluating opportunities after Summit, I took a thesis-driven approach while actively connecting with folks far beyond my extended network, and accepted a role at an early-stage startup that had launched a promising on-demand black car marketplace. Uber quickly became part of our everyday language, and I spent seven transformative years there. More recently, I applied the same approach and joined the team at Summit-backed Klaviyo.”
Pat Twomey│Director of Product Analytics│Klaviyo
“Summit was a great training ground. I was speaking with entrepreneurs on a day-to-day basis – really understanding their business, hearing about their challenges, their successes, their struggles, the whole experience of being an entrepreneur. And I was enthralled by that. From that foundation at Summit, I sought out opportunities where I could apply my skillset in finance, learn more about what it takes to build a business, and accumulate experiences that would put me in a position to ultimately lead an organization.”
